The Effect of Supplementing the Diet with Purple Garlic (Allium sativum) on Productivity Variables and Intestinal Morphometry in Broilers

Background: Garlic is considered a natural growth promoter in animals, but the effects on productive performance of broilers are variable. Therefore, impact and intestinal morphometry were evaluated to know using different levels purple garlic broilers' diet. Methods: Clinically healthy 1-day-old Cobb Vantress 500 (n=98, with an equal number two sex) randomized into four dietary treatment groups. The birds T0 group fed conventional diet, while T1, T2 T3 groups diets supplemented 0.1, 0.2 0.3% garlic. Result: body weight gain (BWG) fattening female did not differ significantly (P less than 0.05) compared control. BWG total benefit at considerably higher males 40 days. duodenum showed that values mean height villi lower T1 other treatments. Purple has significant effect as male broilers, rate supplementation, i.e., levels.
